Article on Moms finding Bffs on the web!
I don’t often repost someone else’s articles, but this article intrigued me. So I’m sharing it for all moms who surf, blog, tweet, Facebook it, myspace it, or in general use the web to stay connected or get connected. The web community is amazing because of it’s access to so many globally. If you’ve wondered why you connect with joansmith@somewhereincyberspace.org better than just about anyone in your real life that you know… well…. you might not be so alone.

It’s a good article, and so very true at least in my life. I have a couple of “real life” friends who are very, very dear to me and always will be (you are one, of course), and then I have a few “on line” or “e-maginary” friends who are becoming very dear to me, although I’ve not met them in person.
Some of my “real life” friends have sprung up from on-line meetings, too. As families move apart, kids get so busy, real life friendships suffer and it’s easier to plug in to a computer than to have to coordinate schedules and work out the messiness of “real life” friendships.
The bummer is that the on line stuff is still not a complete substitute for real life…..no matter how real the on line community, that person in your life to hug you and hold your hand when you need it is still missing if you don’t reach out to real life friends as well. Took me a very long time to learn that, but there it is.
Thanks for posting the article, my friend. Love you!!
