What my heart heard….

I really love this song. Although for my interp, I am not so crazy about the line that says, “I broke them all for you”, but if you left that out the following song would speak to purpose for me. It speaks to “story” for me and what I love writing, reading , knowing, and remembering for. I love her descriptions and honestly I love the sound- soft then suddenly impassioned. I love this song. Knowing Who I was made for and that even when my impression of myself is “flat broke” that grace from the One makes “me feel like a million bucks, it’s true…” was whispered to me through this song whether the author’s intent was that or not. It’s what my heart heard and I am grateful for it. Thanks, Brandi Carlile. No matter what the intent was I was reminded of Romans 5:8 and a love that never fails. I was reminded of the power of story and how remembering and sharing creates an opportunity for knowing our purpose and what and or Who we were made for….

Exodus 4

29 Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites, 30 and Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people, (I add here: Aaron told the story) 31 and they believed. And when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their misery (THIS IS OUR STORY, TOO! HALLELUJAH!), they bowed down and worshiped. (This then is our purpose - “I was made for You!”- Brandi Carlile And our story won’t mean anything if we have no one to tell them to either. Tell the story. SHOW the story just as Aaron did.)
