Dreaming of Silver Roses

Texas Prim Rose

Fragile, natural tissue paper

Pale and pink as a baby’s skin

White and bright as a bridal gown

Leaning forward breathing deeply

Sunshine yellow afterglow

Of Mother Natures kisses

Are left behind on unsuspecting noses

Fields are covered with springtime blossoms

Texas calls them the prim rose.
