So much more…
She is young and lovely. She has a curiosity and drive about life. She’s artistic and intelligent. She sees the world through the camera’s lens. She’s capturing time in snapshots. Moments that are eternal and sacred. Moments many drive by daily and miss. She is a student of the holy in the common place; a beauty hidden to many because they “just don’t have the time” to stop and look at for it. She has sanctified eyes. She loves laughter. She is passionate about beauty. She is devouring life to the pit! I so respect and I am excited by that. It inspires me.
I email her. She emails me. We encourage each other toward ‘home’. I read a phrase in an email from her this morning that arrested my attention. “…trust me I am not all I seem to be sometimes” and my heartbeat response was “You are right you are so much more!”
“A Diamond in the rough”
“a daughter of the King”
“a desert rose”
“a new creation”
Psalms 45:11(NIV) – The king is enthralled by your beauty;
honor him, for he is your lord.
Ephesians 2:10 (TNL) – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
2 Corinthians16-20 (The Message) – Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you.
